Apache Subversion SVN Action Pack

Execute SVN operations, like file checkin/checkout, import/export

Subversion

Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after the command name "svn") is a software versioning and revision control system distributed as free software under the Apache License. Developers use Subversion to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS).

With this Action Pack, you can:

  • Automate tasks in SVN
  • Have Automic Continuous Delivery Automation download artifacts from SVN while deploying them to the target systems

Available Actions:

  • Add
  • Checkout
  • Commit
  • Create Branch
  • Create Repository
  • Remove
  • Export
  • Import
  • Move
  • Update

Setup:

  • Ensure, that SVN CLI (3rd-party) is available on the target host
    • For Unix like systems, most distributions already contain a standard SVN client which should work
  • For Windows, a SVN CLI tool must be installed which works the same way as the standard utilities. An example of a toolset working can be downloaded from https://www.collab.net/downloads/subversion.
