Its goal is to be a mostly compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS).

Setup:

• Ensure, that SVN CLI (3rd-party) is available on the target host
  • For Unix like systems, most distributions already contain a standard SVN client which should work
• For Windows, a SVN CLI tool must be installed which works the same way as the standard utilities. An example of a toolset working can be downloaded from https://www.collab.net/downloads/subversion.
