DBmaestro TeamWork Action Pack

Automate database changes from your Automic Release Automation workflows.

DBmaestro is the leading provider of database DevOps solutions. DBmaestro’s Database DevOps Platform includes several modules, helping teams to build, edit and deploy database changes while maintaining the highest level of security and instilling process and governance. With the DBmaestro Action Pack you can:

  • Package, verify, deploy and promote database changes
  • Eliminate human error with automated validity checks as part of the automated release pipeline
  • Detect and avoid configuration drift and conflicts in advance of deployment
  • Prevent accidental overrides of changes or critical fixes
  • Maintain a complete audit trail, with a full history of all changes made to the database
  • Control roles and access to the database, instilling governance that meets company policy and promotes security
  • Gain holistic overview of database health, productivity and goals
  • Continue working with standard SQL coding, no need for any intermediate language like XML or an associated translator

Visual pipeline builder

The visual database pipeline builder allows you to package, verify, deploy, and promote database changes, building a full delivery pipeline easily. The tool can recognize any configuration drift that might prevent a successful release, ensure upgrade scripts comply with company policy and prevent rogue code from running.

The Release Automation Module revalidates the final state, to make sure the release process ended successfully; all changes are audited. The Release Automation Module supports your source control tool of choice, (Git, SVN and others), as well as DBmaestro’s Versioning Module.

Control roles and security

Stay on top of security with the built-in Security and Governance Module. Control database activities by defining roles for all team members, down to the object and schema level. Enforce the separation of duties and permissions and prevent unauthorized changes to the database.

Full history of all changes made (and attempted)

All changes made in the database (attempted and successful) are documented in full detail. With pre-defined roles and permissions, you have full transparency of all activity and a documented history in place in case fixes or rollbacks are required.

Measure successes, recognize failures

DBmaestro’s Database DevOps Platform includes the Business Activity Monitor, which provides insights into the release process – enabling you to measure and identify successes and trends. See how often code is deployed, which deployments are failing, and how long it takes to get an upgrade into production (lead time).
