7Zip Action Pack

Create and extract file archives as part of a application deployment pipeline


7-zip is a widely-used utility to create and extract file archives on Windows platforms. 7-zip supports several archive types such as zip, gzip, tar, udf as well as its own 7z format.

Pre-Requisites

  • Automic 11.2 or above
  • Plugin Manager
  • PowerShell
  • 7-Zip utlity - http://www.7-zip.org

Installation:

  1. Download the 7-Zip Action pack from Automic marketplace
  2. Extract the archive to get the PCK.TK_7ZIP.zip file, this is the actual action pack.
  3. Log onto the Automic Web Interface.
  4. Navigate to Administation tab
  5. Click Packs then click Install Pack
  6. Select the action pack that you downloaded. Upon installation, the pack PCK.TK_7ZIP should appear.

Available Actions:

  • Add Files to Archive
  • Extract Files From Archive
  • Test Archive Integrity
  • List Archive Contents
  • Calculate File Hash
